Minneapolis police chief Janee Harteau was granted a new, three-year reappointment on Friday after a unanimous vote of the City Council.

The council passed Harteau's reappointment without discussion. Harteau's reappointment garnered spirited testimony at the council's committee of the whole meeting earlier in the week.

Also reappointed Friday were Fire Chief John Fruetel, Civil Rights Director Velma Korbel, City Attorney Susan Segal and City Coordinator Spencer Cronk.
