MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Lynx will have three starters in the WNBA All-Star game for the first time in franchise history.

The Lynx said Friday that Minnesota forward Rebekkah Brunson will replace Brittney Griner in the Western Conference starting lineup for Saturday's All-Star game.

Griner is out with a sprained left knee and will be replaced on the Western Conference roster by Seattle's Tina Thompson.

Brunson joins teammates Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore in the Western Conference starting lineup. Augustus and Moore were both selected by fans to start.

Lynx point guard Lindsay Whalen is an All-Star reserve. Minnesota has four of the 11 All-Stars on the West team, most in the league.
