It'll be guitar heros and country stars at Milwaukee's 43rd annual Summfest. Seven of the 11 headliners have been announced for the June 24-July 4 music fest on Lake Michigan. Eric Clapton (with Roger Daltrey) is booked for June 28 and Tom Petty is scheduled for two nights, June 25-26. Tim McGraw (with Lady Antebellum) kicks off the 11-day, 11-stage event on June 24. Brooks & Dunn's Milwaukee farewell takes place on June 29, and Carrie Underwood closes the festvities on July 4. Oh, for the tween girls, there's Justin Bieber on June 27. Four other headliners for the Marcus Amphitheater are yet to be announced. Per usual, Milwaukee has landed some stars who aren't coming to the Twin Cities this year. But then, we've got U2 in the midst of Summerfest on June 27 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. As for some of the performers on Summerfest's other 10 stages: Jeff Beck, Sheryl Crow, Colbie Caillat, Public Enemy, Phil Vassar, the Roots, Joan Jett, the Hold Steady, O.A.R. and Modest Mouse, among others. Tickets for Clapton and some of the other amphitheater headliners will go on sale April 10. For more info, go to www.summerfest.com.
