Right guard Brandon Fusco did not participate in the morning walkthrough today and is not expected to practice tonight when the Vikings go at it under the lights at Blakeslee Stadium, coach Mike Zimmer said.

Fusco apparently suffered the injury during Friday's afternoon session. After lining up with the first-team offense during red-zone drills, Fusco sat out the rest of that practice. Joe Berger filled in for him at right guard.

Berger was back between John Sullivan and Andre Smith this morning.

As he walked inside after watching the walkthrough, Fusco was asked what was bothering him. "I've been told I can't talk about it," he replied.

Zimmer said this morning he doesn't expect Fusco to be out for long.

"No, I don't think so," he said. "I mean, he told me he feels better today, so."

Zimmer added that other players could be held out for precautionary reasons tonight. Running back Jerick McKinnon (lower back) and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (left shoulder) could be whom the coach had in mind. They both returned to practice on Friday but were pretty limited.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
