Class A Fort Myers manager Doug Mientkiewicz took part in a brawl with Bradenton manager Frank Kremblas during the Miracle's 12-inning, 3-2 loss at Hammond Stadium on Saturday.

The former Twins first baseman "locked up with Kremblas [and] rolled around on the ground" for about a minute, according to Brice Zimmerman, the Miracles' radio broadcaster.

Both benches emptied and both managers were ejected after the fourth-inning brawl, which was sparked when Fort Myers pitcher Jason Wheeler "grazed" Marauder second baseman Dan Gamache with a pitch, Zimmerman said via Twitter.

The incident may have been payback for a play Friday in which Gamache bowled over Miracle catcher Jairo Rodriguez at the plate, Zimmerman said, and when Kremblas objected from the top step of the dugout, Mientkiewicz ran toward him, and they began fighting near home plate.

"After it settled down, Mientkiewicz and Kremblas talked it out, patted each other on the back, and seemed to settle the issue," Zimmerman tweeted.
