The storm at the leading edge of a far-reaching arctic blast will spread aswath of travel-impacting snow along the border of Canada and the Upper Midwestthrough tonight.The heaviest snow amounts will total 2-4 inches. International Falls, Minn., aswell as the Canadian cities of Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, are expected to havethis amount of snow on ground by the start of Wednesday. The end of the stormwill also produce similar snowfall totals across southwestern Montana andWyoming into this evening. Across both regions, the snow will result inhazardous travel.

As the storm drops snow along the Canadian border and over the northernRockies, chilly air will funnel into the northern Plains today. Blustery windswill further add to the chill.
