Midwest Flood Threat Will Continue

Showers and heavy, drenching thunderstorms will continue to plague parts of theMidwest through early next week, keeping the threat of additional floodingrather high.The location with the greatest potential for river and flash flooding will befrom Iowa to southern Wisconsin, as a series of weather systems tracks close tothe region through early next week. Much of the ground across this area isalready saturated from recent rainfall.

Thunderstorms will be very heavy as hot, humid air coming up from the southcollides with cooler air to the north.
