Midweek Flood Threat

A sustained plume of tropical moisture will inundate much of the PacificNorthwest with heavy precipitation from Tuesday to Thursday, which could leadto flooding.Coastal areas and the west slopes of the Cascades will get the heaviestrainfall with up to 4 inches possible during the period.

The mild air coming in off the Pacific will cause snow levels to rise abovemost of the passes, reaching an average of 6,000 feet during the period.
