Mid-Atlantic Severe Storms

The same storm system that brought widespread severe weather, includingseveral tornadoes, to the South Thursday will advance into the mid-Atlantictoday, bringing the threat more severe weather with it. The highest risk forsevere thunderstorms will be from southeastern Pennsylvania to eastern NorthCarolina. This includes the cities of Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. andNorfolk. These storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, torrentialdownpours and large hail, which will greatly impact travel across theregion.Story by AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Eric Leister
