Former Vikings center Mick Tingelhoff didn't participate in this afternoon's press conferences for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2015.

"He's back at the hotel resting," said his son Pat. "It's been a busy week."

The Tingelhoffs arrived in Canton, Ohio on Wednesday. Mick received his gold jacket during a ceremony that didn't end until about 10 p.m. local time Thursday night.

Today started with a photo op at the Hall of Fame at 9:30 a.m., followed by a VIP lunch for the Class of 2015 and past enshrinees at 11:30. Mick will attend a Vikings alumni party later tonight and then the Hall of Fame parade begins at 8 a.m. local time.

The enshrinement is tomorrow night. And, wait, there's more. As an enshrineed, Mick will be hosting one last party from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday night. And, oh yeah, the new class also is introduced at halftime of Sunday night's Hall of Fame game between the Vikings and Steelers.

Tingelhoff's memory also is failing and the family didn't think a press conference setting would be good for Mick.

"We have a lot ahead of us," Pat said. "Mick's excited. But he wanted to get some rest."
