Michele Tafoya, who has split her duties between afternoons on WCCO Radio and sports reporting for NBC-TV, is stepping down from her radio gig, effective Friday afternoon. She announced the news Monday afternoon on her NBC twitter feed.
Tafoya is scheduled to participate in NBC's coverage of the Super Bowl next month and Olympics this summer.
WCCO will reportedly move mid-morning personality John Williams to Tafoya's 3 to 6 p.m. shift. Williams, who used to live in Minneapolis, does his radio show from Chicago, where he works on WGN from noon to 3 p.m.
