In response to games canceled by COVID concerns, the MIAC has announced that all of its basketball and hockey teams will participate in postseason play.
Previously, the top six teams in men's and women's basketball and the top five in men's and women's hockey qualified, with the tournament winner getting an automatic national tournament berth.
Lower-finishing teams in each sport will have play-in games in each of the single-elimination tournaments. Games will be hosted by the team with the better record.
The basketball tournaments are scheduled to run from Feb. 19-26 and the hockey tournaments from Feb. 23-March 5.
