Mgk, the rock star formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly, will play a free, intimate concert Thursday in Minneapolis, it was announced Saturday afternoon.

The venue and details will be announced later via email.

The gig is one of four Midwestern intimate pop-up shows mgk (who stylizes his moniker with lowercase letters) has slated for next week as part of his Lost XX Road Trip. Earlier this week, he presented surprise pop-up gigs in Toronto and New York.

All this is in conjunction with his new album, “Lost Americana,” which was released Friday.

Mgk teased his seventh album with a trailer narrated by Bob Dylan in June. Yes, really. However, Dylan did not contribute to the album.

Mgk’s guests include drummer Travis Barker and keyboardist Jon Batiste.

Known for mixing rap and rock, the polarizing mgk has scored two No. 1 albums and made noise with the singles “Bad Things” (with Camila Cabello), “Rap Devil” and “Bloody Valentine.”

He also has appeared in several movies, including “King of Staten Island” and “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” sometimes under his birth name of Colson Baker.
