A man struck by a Metro Transit bus in downtown Minneapolis Tuesday night has been released from the hospital, a spokesman for the agency said.
The man was conscious when he was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center after he was hit and knocked down about 8:30 p.m. in the intersection of 2nd and Washington Avenues N., said John Siqveland, a Metro Transit spokesman.
The bus driver and nine passengers, including at least one child, also were taken to the hospital after they complained of neck and back pain suffered when the bus stopped quickly, Siqveland said.
The driver will undergo drug and alcohol testing as required in such cases. The accident is being investigated.
