Metro Transit will adjust weekday and weekend schedules on the Metro Blue Line starting Saturday.

The changes are to accomodate testing on the new Green Line, which begins operating on June 14. The Blue and Green lines will share tracks in downtown Minneapolis between Target Field Station and just north of the Cedar-Riverside Station where the Green Line will split off and head east to St. Paul.

On weekdays, northbound Blue Line trains will run one minute later during the morning rush hour and southbound trains will run four minutes later during afternoon rush hours. Evening trains will continue to operate every 10 minutes until 8 p.m.

On weekends, southbound trains will run two minutes earlier between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
