HISTORIC FORT SNELLING, St. Paul. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., a military history timeline. Get a glimpse of military life, with costumed re-enactors interpreting various eras of military history. See large-scale military demonstrations throughout the day and explore Minnesota's oldest military fort. Admission is $11 for adults, $9 for seniors and college students, $6 for children ages 6-17 and free for children age 5 and younger.

LAKEVILLE VETERANS MEMORIAL AT ARONSON PARK, 8250 202nd St. Ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. The American Legion Post 44 and the VFW Post 210 of Lakeville will spend the morning visiting area cemeteries starting at 8 a.m. at Orchard Lake Cemetery, 16165 Kenwood Trail. They will visit 11 other cemeteries before the 12:30 ceremony at the veterans memorial.

MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME AT FERGUS FALLS, 1821 N. Park St. Ceremony starts at 2 p.m. Speaker will be Ron Verhaagen, Wilkin County veterans service officer. Color guard and rifle volley provided by the Fergus Falls American Legion Post 30 and the Fergus Falls VFW Post 612.

MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME AT HASTINGS, 1200 E. 18th St. Ceremony will start at 9 a.m. at the flagpole outside the home. Honors will be performed by VFW Post 1210 and American Legion Post 47 of Hastings. There will also be special recognition of Gold Star Mothers.

MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME AT MINNEAPOLIS, 5101 Minnehaha Av. S. Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. outside of Building 15 Chapel, sponsored by the Fifth District American Legion. Speaker will be the Rev. Kenneth L. Beale Jr., with remarks by Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Larry Shellito. Music by the Minnesota Police Pipe Band.

MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME AT SILVER BAY, 45 Banks Blvd. Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. Speaker will be Dave Mealey, past commander of the local VFW in Silver Bay.

ROCKFORD MEMORIAL DAY PARADE. 10 a.m. Starts at Rockford Middle School, 6051 Ash St., and follows Ash Street to Walnut Street to Main Street to Bridge Street to Mechanic Street to Cedar Street to Maple Street, concluding at Elmwood Cemetery. Along the route there will be a Navy memorial program at the Crow River Bridge, and a memorial service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. Also planned are a pork chop dinner in Riverside Park, 8220 Elm St., and a pie-and-ice cream social at the Stork House, 8131 Bridge St., from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

SHAKOPEE MDEWAKANTON SIOUX COMMUNITY MEMORIAL DAY at the Veterans Monument at Tiowakan Spiritual Center, 14625 Prairie Grass Drive in Prior Lake. Ceremony at 9 a.m.
