Mellencamp to McCain: Quit playing my songs

Rolling Stone magazine is reporting that John Mellencamp's representatives are quietly asking Republican presidential candidate John McCain to quit playing the Midwest rocker's songs at his campaign rallies.

The rousing tunes "Our Country" and "Pink Houses" have been favorites at McCain events.

Mellencamp was a John Edwards supporter, until the Democrat dropped out last week.
