Meet chef Enrique Olvera in St. Paul

Oct. 21: The author of "Mexico From the Inside Out" will be appearing at Cooks of Crocus Hill (877 Grand Av., St. Paul, 651-228-1333), signing copies of his cookbook from 5-5:45 p.m. (free), and teaching a class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $75, cooksofcrocushill.com.

Oct. 22: Olvera will be a guest at the 20th-anniversary celebration of public radio's "The Splendid Table" at the Fitzgerald Theater (10 E. Exchange St., St. Paul, 651-290-1200) at 7:30 p.m. Host Lynne Rossetto Kasper will also be joined by New York Times food columnist Melissa Clark, Argentine chef Francis Mallmann and singer Dessa.
