"McCain Blogette" seems an oxymoron: a senior citizen's presidential campaign chronicled by the Facebook generation? But www.mccainblogette.com is the Internet diary of John McCain's 23-year-old daughter Meghan.

While the website is about a campaign, it is not about issues. Rather, it is intended to make her parents, and politics, seem more real. She offers an insider's view, offbeat and surprisingly intimate.

Her site is peppered with photos. And she has a message for anyone worried her 71-year-old father is too old: "I have yet to see Dad take a nap on the trail," she writes under a photo of herself napping.

Julie Barko Germany, director of the Institute for Politics and the Internet at George Washington University and whose husband works for McCain, said the site feel "like picking up a copy of Us Weekly -- real stars, they're just like us!" AP
