MB III has swollen bursa sac in left knee

Injury reports aren't due until Wednesday, but one has to think the former Gopher will be a factor against the Vikings. But with Felix Jones stepping up, does it really matter?

Former Gopher Marion Barber III is dealing with a painful swollen bursa sac in his left knee. I have no idea what a bursa sac is, but when it's swollen, one can only carry the ball three times for four yards before taking a seat in a playoff game.

Barber disappeared early from the win over the Eagles on Saturday. But the 'Boys running game got even better with Felix Jones getting a career-high 16 carries for 148 yards, incuding a 73-yard TD run. The yardage was third most in team playoff history, while the TD run was the longest in team playoff history.

Tashard Choice also got 14 carries, the most he's had since Week 4. Apparently, Choice will be good to go this week after getting shook up a little bit in the Eagles game. We'll know more about the Cowboys' health on Wednesday when the injury reports start coming out.

The way Jones ran on Saturday, one has to wonder which team's running game will be a bigger factor on Sunday. The Vikings' were No. 2 in run defense this year. But the Cowboys were No. 4.

The Vikings' long streak of not allowing a 100-yard rusher came to an end on a miserable night in Carolina. Meanwhile, the Cowboys haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher all season. They gave up a season-high 97 to the Bucs' Cadillac Williams in Week 1.
