May 24, 2016 at 4:49AM

Lynx forward Maya Moore was the season's first recipient of the Western Conference player of the week award in the WNBA on Monday.

In three games, all victories, Moore averaged 22.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists. She led the Lynx in assists in every game and was the team's top scorer twice and the leading rebounder once.

The player of the week honor is the 15th of Moore's six-year career.

Vikings sign one, waive one

The Vikings signed defensive tackle Travis Raciti, who was on Philadelphia's practice squad last season, and waived running back Brandon Ross.

Raciti, 24, was undrafted in 2015 out of San Jose State, where he started 49 games. Ross was signed by the Vikings following this year's draft.

Saints lose first game

For the first time since the 2014 season, the St. Paul Saints are not in first place in the North Division of the American Association.

The Saints (4-1) suffered their first loss of the young season on Monday night, losing 3-2 at Sioux Falls. That leaves the Canaries (5-0) alone in first in the North as the only remaining unbeaten team in the league.

Nate Hanson made it 3-2 with a two-out RBI double in the top of the ninth, but he was stranded at second.
