Electric car owners and drivers who rent them will have scores of new places to charge up in downtown Minneapolis.
A total of 39 stations are now available in four parking ramps in downtown Minneapolis, including Ramps A, B and C near the Target Center and in the ramp at 5th Street and 2nd Av. N.
Officials from the City of Minneapolis and State Transportation Commissioner Charlie Zelle will unveil and demonstrate 36 new stations going on line today during a media briefing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The city and the Minnesota Department of Transportation combined on the project, which was paid for by a grant awarded by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
