May 15: Bones, possibly human, found in Lakeville park

Lakeville police are investigating after bones that are believed to be human were found in a park Thursday.

Police were called about 2 p.m. to Ritter Farm Park at 195th Street and I-35 after the bones were discovered. Police said the bones appear to have been in the park for some time.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.

Police said there is no threat to park visitors or area residents.
