Matt Entenza has made diversity a hallmark of his DFL gubernatorial bid.

He chose former television news anchor Robyne Robinson as his running mate and has local hip-hop artist MC Nick Muhammad on his staff.

Now Entenza's camp is filming a public service announcement featuring local hip-hop artists and other musicians urging people to vote. Entenza's staff said they hope the videos become viral Internet sensations.

"It's going to help generate a lot of excitement and help with our get-out-the-vote effort," said campaign spokesman Jeremy Drucker. It's not clear how many artists will be on the video or when it will be released. Entenza might be in the video, but Hot Dish has it on good authority that Entenza himself will not be dazzling viewers his rendition of OutKast's "Hey YA!" or MC Hammer's "Too Legit to Quit."
