Dale Jones of Mendakota defeated defending champion Adam Guili of Edinburgh USA in a 21-hole quarterfinal match at the Minnesota PGA Match Play Championship Wednesday at the Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake.
In other quarterfinal matches, Todd Kolb of Willow Run beat Ty Armstrong of Glen Lake 1-up, Don Berry of Edinburgh USA beat Luke Benoit of Cleary Lake 5-4 and Chris Peterson of Northfield beat Tom Nelson of Indian Hills 1-up.
The semifinals begin at 8 a.m. today, with Jones facing Kolb and Berry taking on Peterson.
