A masked man waved around a large handgun in a Brooklyn Park bank, ordered customers and employees to hit the floor and fled with cash from one of the tellers, authorities said.

The stickup occurred about 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. Bank branch at 7600 W. Broadway Av., according to the FBI.

Once outside the bank, the gunman got behind the wheel of a large SUV to make his getaway east on 76th Avenue N., the agency added.

The robber was described as black, with a medium complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 175 and 185 pounds. He was wearing brown glasses, a gray "Michael Jordan" hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, a baseball cap, a black mask and brown gloves.

The SUV was described as grayish-silver, and either a GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade.

The FBI asks that anyone with information call the agency at 763-569-8000 or Brooklyn Park police at 763-493-8222.
