Wolves veteran Kevin Martin remains away from the team today, attending to a family matter that caused him to miss practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

He will not play against the Bulls in Chicago tonight in a rare 5 p.m. start but is expected to return to the team in time for Monday's game at Atlanta.

That means rookie point guard Tyus Jones willl be active and available to play for the first time in his short NBA career.

The game is on FSN Plus.

Jones and injured Nikola Pekovic had been the team's two designated inactive players in the season's first four games until tonight.

The Wolves will start their usual five -- Ricky Rubio, Andrew Wiggins, Tayshaun Prince, Kevin Garnett and Karl-Anthony Towns -- and we'll see if Sam Mitchell plays Rubio and Zach LaVine some together or expands Shabazz Muhammad's time and uses Andre Miller a bit with Martin in Ohio with his family.
