Mark Craig's Fourth-and-five

November 25, 2012 at 5:39AM

Three observations ...• It will be interesting to see if Colin Kaepernick stays that loose and confident now that he's being given a chance to take Alex Smith's job long term.

• It was obvious Detroit's Ndamukong Suh meant to kick Texans QB Matt Schaub. Suh doesn't realize he could be just as intimidating without the cheap shots.

• Rex Ryan expects to coach the Jets next season. A man can dream, can't he?

Two bold predictions ...• The bottom usually falls out every time the 49ers look dominant. So they'll lose at New Orleans.

• It'll be too late for Jim Schwartz, but look for the NFL to get rid of the rule that forbids the automatic review of a touchdown when a coach throws his challenge flag. That's a terrible rule when the object is to eliminate blown calls.
