Mark Craig's fourth-and-five

November 3, 2012 at 10:59PM

Three observations ... • Tony Gonzalez, 36, could play into his 40s. He faces Dallas needing five catches to reach 1,200 and one TD to reach 100.

• Isn't it odd that the Falcons are 7-0 and pounded the Eagles, yet Michael Vick is the national story of the week?

• Black Monday is going to be especially dark as at least eight coaches fight for their jobs down the stretch.

Two bold predictions ... • After losing their past four games by a combined 12 points, the Panthers will upset Robert Griffin III and the Redskins in Washington.

• The Giants will beat Pittsburgh while no TV reporter worth her hair spray will be able to resist the cliché of how it brought three hours of relief to those still dealing with Hurricane Sandy.
