High winds blew down scaffolding on the edge of the Vikings stadium project Sunday, forcing the closure of S. 5th Street alongside the site, police said.

The roof of a trailer was damaged, but no injuries were reported, Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder said.

Light rail trains continued to run nearby.

About 5:30 p.m., crews still were working to remove parts of the scaffolding that fell over a 5th Street fence and extended over a bike lane.

Boards were being carried away, too.

Elder said officers were sent to the area to redirect traffic.
