Marathon Runners Endure Coldest Blast in Florida in Decades

Runners of the Walt Disney World Marathon today will face brutally coldtemperatures in the lower to mid 30s to start. Layered clothing is recommendedfor both the runners and the spectators. Extra layers will mean extra charity,since the layers shed by runners will go to charity.Afternoon highs will struggle to climb into the upper 40s in Orlando, whileareas farther south will rise into the lower 50s.

Farther south, Miami and Fort Lauderdale are among the cities and towns thatchallenged record lows that have been standing for 30 years or more thismorning! The record cold follows after snow and sleet fell over centralportions of the Sunshine State.
