Maplewood school is dark for a second day

After two unscheduled days off, students at Maplewood Middle School are expected to return to class Friday.

A power outage in Maplewood prevented hundreds of students from attending school for two days this week.

Tuesday's high winds knocked out power at the school and surrounding neighborhood. Workers originally thought they'd complete the work on Wednesday, but they needed an extra day.

The school serves about 700 students.
