With many people expected to leave work early Thursday afternoon, Maple Grove Transit says it will have extra buses to accomodate the crush.

Back-to-back buses will operate on Route 781 trips leaving downtown Minneapolis at 12:16, 2:16 and 3:14 p.m. from 2nd Avenue S. and 10th Street. Those buses serve the Maple Grove Transit Station at Arbor Lakes.

The first outbound trip on Route 785 also will have an extra bus. The departure at 3:13 p.m. from 2nd Avenue S. and 10th Street serves the Parkway Station.

Maple Grove Transit buses will not operate on Friday July 4.

On another note, those parking at the Maple Grove Transit Station parking ramp Thursday must enter by 8:30 a.m. After that, vehicles will not be allowed in.

The ramp will be closed for repairs from 8 p.m. on Thursday to 5 a.m. on Monday. All parked vehicles must exit the ramp by 8 p.m. Thursday. Any vehicles left will be towed to the surface lot on the south side of the ramp, according to a notice on the transit agency's website.
