Maple Grove boys' hockey defenseman Jordan Gross made a verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
Gross, who had eight goals and 22 assists as a sophomore and will return for his junior season with the Crimson, chose the Irish over St. Cloud State, defending national champion Minnesota Duluth and Colorado College.
He was selected to play with Team USA at the recent Five Nations tournament in August but missed the event because of injury.
