Officials on Tuesday released the identity of the man who was fatally shot last week in St. Paul.
Police said the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified Michael D. Tucker, 49, of St. Paul, as the man who died Thursday night from a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Officers found Tucker down on the boulevard in the 900 block of Edgerton Street, police said.
Fire Department medics took him to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he soon was declared dead, according to police.
No arrests had been made as of late Tuesday morning, police said.
There have been 13 homicides in St. Paul this year, according to a Minnesota Star Tribune database. That compares with 32 at this time last year.
