A man trying to aid a robbery victim was shot in the stomach Saturday night in Brooklyn Park, police said Sunday.

The victim was shot about 10:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Noble Avenue N. after leaving a house party and trying to prevent two men from robbing him and a friend, said Brooklyn Park police Sgt. Steve Palmquist.

He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Palmquist said.

The case remains under investigation. No one has been arrested.
