A motorist found a man dead in the middle of a Rochester street early Tuesday, and authorities say the death is suspicious.
The discovery occurred about 4 a.m. in the 2300 block of 45th Street SE., when the driver's headlights illuminated the man's body, said Olmsted County Sheriff's Sgt. Kirby Long.
The street in that area has been closed as investigators work the scene, Long said.
The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been called in to assist in the investigation.
Long said that the man suffered some kind of trauma leading up to his death.
No arrests have been announced, and further details from the Sheriff's Office were expected by Wednesday.
