A suspect wanted for allegedly assaulting a Washington County Sheriff's deputy last week has been apprehended near Luck, Wis., by the Polk County Sheriff's Office late Saturday evening. Tyler Robert Chute fled after a traffic stop in Stillwater Township.A felony arrest warrant was out for Chute, 20, of St. Paul, who ran out of his tennis shoes as he fled on foot, said Commander Brian Mueller of the Sheriff's Office.

He has a tattoo of "Chute" on his chest, "Angel" on his back and has a two-inch scar on the left side of his head.

The deputy had responded early Friday to a suspicious vehicle reported on Saint Croix Trail North in Stillwater Township when he was assaulted, Mueller said. No weapon was involved, he said.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 651-439-9381.
