Man walks in front of semi in St. Paul and is killed

The incident occurred on Hwy. 52 just as the afternoon commute was about to start.

A 28-year-old man walked in front of a semitrailer truck in St. Paul on Monday and was killed, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The semi was driven by Wade Christopher Uhlir, 47, of Stewartville, Minn. Uhlir was traveling south on Hwy. 52 near Belvidere Street, where the man stepped in front of his truck shortly before 3 p.m., the patrol said.

A Dodge Dart registered to the man was found parked on the side of the highway. The patrol has yet to his name.
