Man struck and killed by snowplow at MSP airport

Airport police are investigating the Tuesday night incident.

A man was hit and killed by a snowplow in a parking lot at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Tuesday night.

The 47-year-old victim was hit about 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the LSG Sky Chefs facility in the 3100 block of E. 73rd Street, airport spokesman Jeff Lea said.

The man’s name has not been released.

A 911 call indicating a pedestrian had been run over sent police to the scene just south of Terminal 2.

Airport police and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
