Man found shot at north Minneapolis intersection dies at hospital

Police found the victim at the intersection of Lowry and Fremont avenues N.

Minneapolis police were investigating a homicide on the city's North Side late Thursday, authorities said.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Lowry and Fremont Avenues N., where they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, where he died.

The victim has not yet been identified.

Investigators remained on the scene late Thursday combing for witnesses.
