A man was shot outside an Uptown neighborhood bar early Thursday, but he's expected to be okay, police said.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Lagoon Avenue near the Uptown Tavern around 1:55 a.m. They found Abdullahi Mohamed, 26, injured by a gunshot wound. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was in stable condition, police said.
Investigators were talking with witnesses to learn what brought about the shooting, said Sgt. Catherine Michal.
By mid-morning, police had arrested a 38-year-old Mankato man. He was booked into the Hennepin County jail and faces felony charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.
