A man was shot in a north Minneapolis neighborhood early Thursday, not far from where a bullet went through an elementary school window earlier in the week.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said police spokesman Corey Schmidt.
Police were called to the 4000 block of Bryant Avenue N. at 1:58 a.m. Shots had been fired through a window into a home, Schmidt said. "This did not appear to be a random shooting," Schmidt said.
The incident took place just a few blocks from Tuesday's shooting at 39th and Emerson Avenues N. in which a bullet shattered a window of Sojourner Truth Academy, a K-8 charter school.
