Authorities on Monday identified the man who was shot and killed outside a Minneapolis bar following a fight shortly after closing time.
Willie J. Smith III, 22, of St. Paul, was shot in the chest outside the Blue Nile Restaurant and Lounge at 2027 E. Franklin Avenue, about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.
Another man was shot in the leg and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, police said. His identity has not been released.
No arrests have been made in connection with the violence, which involved several men.
