A man was shot late Saturday in a hotel next to the Mall of America while visiting a woman in a room, and two arrests were made Sunday, authorities said.

The victim made his way 40 miles south to Faribault and reported the incident a few hours later to authorities there before being treated for two gunshot wounds to a leg, police said.

As the victim was leaving the room, he was shot, police said.

When Faribault officers arrived at District One Hospital to speak with the victim he was uncooperative," said Faribault Police Capt. Neal Pederson.

Pederson said the victim has since been moved to a Twin Cities hospital.

The woman, 28 years old and from Northfield, and a man, 25 years old and from Faribault, were arrested at the hotel about 6 a.m. and remain jailed in Bloomington pending charges, police reported.
