Man shot and killed in Minneapolis. is identified

Authorities have identified a man who was killed early Thursday morning in a Minneapolis home.

Kenneth Dewayne Wesson, 48, was shot about 12:45 a.m. in the home on the 1100 block of James Avenue N. where he lived.

He died at 12:57 a.m. of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

Police are investigating the circumstances and continue to look for a suspect, said John Elder, police spokesman.

They don't believe the shooting was random, he said.
