Hennepin County authorities around midday Friday pulled the body of a man from the Mississippi River near north Minneapolis, officials said.
Deputies from the Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Camden Bridge, in the area of 45th and Lyndale avenues N., after someone spotted the body shortly after noon, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
Authorities have identified the man, but aren't releasing his name until they notify his family of his death.
They declined to say whether foul play is suspected.
A spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office declined to comment on the incident on Friday afternoon.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
