A 1-year-old boy was fatally run over by a pickup truck being driven by a family friend outside his home southeast of Park Rapids, Minn., authorities said Tuesday.
The incident occurred while the driver was going to move his vehicle about 8 p.m. Monday on Dovetail Road in Hubbard County, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Zappa Harvala was declared dead at the scene, the Sheriff's Office said. The driver was identified as Rodrick W. DeWinter, 51, of Park Rapids.
The Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.
