Man robs south Minneapolis bank

The robber approached a teller at the Wells Fargo branch at 4712 Chicago Av. S. around 2 p.m. Thursday and presented a threatening note.

The FBI is asking for the public's help in tracking down a man who held up a south Minneapolis bank.

The robber approached a teller at the Wells Fargo branch at 4712 Chicago Av. S. around 2 p.m. Thursday and presented a threatening note. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. He was last seen running north on Chicago Avenue, said FBI Special Agent Paul McCabe.

The suspect was a white male in his early 20s. He is around 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, has brown hair, a few days of facial hair growth and sideburns at the time of the robbery, and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds.

The culprit was wearing wire-framed sunglasses, a black baseball cap, gray button-up shirt and black running pants with a white stripe down the side.
