A man robbed a Rosemount bank shortly before closing time near a busy intersection and fled with the cash, authorities said.

The holdup occurred about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday at the Merchants Bank branch at the corner of W. 150th Street and Chippendale Avenue, according to police.

The suspect gave the teller a note demanding money, showed no weapon and left after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, police added.

The man is described as white, in his 30s or 40s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 200 to 225 pounds, with short light brown hair, a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a dark T-shirt, tan cargo shorts and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call police at (651) 423-4491.
